Maryn is a freshman at Bakersfield High School this year. The time has flown by. She has many talents, most all of them in the arts. She has a goal to attend BYU and we have encouraged her to do all she can to fulfill that goal. One of the things we are having her do is the marching band. This is a hopeful backdoor in to BYU. So to support her and BHS, we attended all of the home games this year. It was fun! All the kids got into it, including Kenzie. She knows that we stand and chant Drillers, Drillers, Drillers when they are kicking off. Here is a shot of the team during one amazingly awesome games. It was a nail biter for sure. BHS took the Valley Championship going undefeated for the season.
My camera is awesome. NOT. At least not in low light situations. Thanks to Justin, that is fixed with an after market flash. This is her and her friend Abby, with the blue hair. Abby is in the pit with Maryn. Abby plays the bells and Maryn is the synthist.
